How to format a term paper
On the basis of the instructions that are offered by our mentor or university, the term paper has to be formatted. But, common formatting rules exist, which are followed in an extensive manner. To format an ideal term paper in an appropriate manner, we provide a general guideline explicitly:
- Typical Formatting
- Font: Use Arial or Times New Roman font.
- Font size: The size should be 12 pt.
- Line spacing: Double-spacing is important.
- Margins: On all sides of the paper, we have to provide 1 inch (2.54 cm) margin.
- Alignment: It must be left-aligned (not justified).
- Page numbers: Specify the page numbers at bottom center or top-right corner.

- Main Body
- Typically, this phase is categorized into sections and subsections.
- By including proof or analysis, our thesis must be justified in every paragraph.
- In terms of the requirements, make use of headings and subheadings.
- Conclusion
- Major points have to be outlined clearly.
- Instead of stating the thesis similarly, we should reiterate it.
- In this section, it is approachable to recommend potential ideas or upcoming research.
- References/Bibliography
- All sources must be included, which we have cited in our paper.
- The specific citation format should be utilized (such as IEEE, Chicago, MLA, APA, and others).
- Appendices (If required)
- In the appendices section, the additional data, questionnaires, or charts have to be encompassed, which are not presented in the major text.
